From a town, far, far away...

Ariel is a queer actor and artist rising from Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Her earliest spark came from viewing films from director and creator, Guillermo del Toro, who fostered a love for both acting and the arts. Films that inspired her artistry include The Mummy (1999), Labyrinth (1986), and Hellboy II (2008)!

Growing up surrounded by Midwest folklore and bustling nature, fostered her love for mystery and genres most foul. She has since placed this passion into her artistry beyond the stage. Ariel is currently based in Chicago, IL .

GET TO KNOW ME~

Wow, I'm a Nerd!

Like many nerds before her, Ariel was indoctrinated into the beautiful game of DND during her youth. From spellcasters to space fairing ex assassin's, she has always loved those moments that the players disappear into the story. The times when those around the table are so invested that your heart beats as one with your character! The deep pines and mythos filled woods of her Wisconsin home drew her to a love of mystery and genres most foul. She found her niche in tales of gothic horror. The folly of man mixed with the romanticism of historic eras drew her like a moth to the flame. Her love of history and the macabre also brought her to a love of theology; more specifically Eschatology! Basically, the study of End of the world theories found in Religion. Think of the Norse "Ragnarok" or the Christian "Revelations". Generational storytelling and cultural movements throughout history have made these "tales of warning" influence each other in so many ways. It's not just an interest of what we perceive as an ending to our books, but an insight into what humanity was all those years ago. The fictional lore and facts of history are very intriguing.  She also wrote, produced, organized, and acted in an interactive Fantasy escape room. With a dragon threatening to topple the castle, the guests had to solve many puzzles and challenges to collect spell components to quell the fiend once and for all. It was definitely her biggest undertaking, having to write scenes for the actors to perform, choreographing fight scenes (with lightsabers!!), and writing original puzzles for the guests to solve.

Art and the Artist

Before the performing arts, Ariel was a visual artist through and through. Before being accepted into her BFA, she was on track to become an Entertainment Designer. Think of animation, storyboarding, or even character design. Designing her DnD characters inspired this love for the craft. As well as making graphic novels about her characters, or even doodling on her homework when she definitely wasn't supposed to! The first way she expresses herself is through drawing. When words fail, she can always count on her pen to make a melody on paper. Though, with her more tangible creations, her overzealousness always seems to get the better of her: "One more detail.." is a phrase often used in her day to day. Ariel has since grown her love of the craft expanding it to her theater degree. In areas like scenic design, makeup, as well as prop & costume making.
